partial malfunction: A partial malfunction occurs when a film cannot be viewed due to technical difficulties with the provided media. In contrast to a full malfunction, a partial malfunction affects films that were viewed for more than 5% of their runtime; as such, they are considered "seen" and cannot be viewed in future MovieFests. If a new form of working media is provided then the film can be re-watched in the same year starting from the point of malfunction.
